Rymgali about Solar Energy in Kazakhstan

Solar energy has huge potential as a renewable energy source due to the large sparsely populated areas and climatic conditions, especially in the south of Kazakhstan, where the sun shines from 2200 to 3000 hours a year. In the summer months (June-August), due to its geographical position, the southern part of Kazakhstan receives direct solar radiation during most of the daylight hours, which is 83-96% of the maximum possible value. While the northern part of the country receives about 2,000 hours of sunshine, southern cities such as Kyzylorda and Shymkent receive 2,936 and 2,892 hours of sunshine each year, enough to meet electricity demand in southern Kazakhstan.
